How gifting works

MyCongrads pages are built by graduates to share their story and their wishlist. If you landed here from one, here is exactly how gifting works.

How do gifts actually work?

Every registry item links straight to the retailer that sells it — Amazon, Target, Walmart, wherever the grad built their list. You buy on the retailer's site with your own account, your own payment method, and the retailer's buyer protections. MyCongrads never processes your payment and never sees your card.

What about cash gifts?

Cash buttons open the grad's own Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle. The money goes directly from you to them — we are never in the middle.

What happens after I buy something?

Tap "i'll get this" on the item so the grad and other guests know it's covered — no account needed. The retailer handles shipping, receipts, and returns, exactly like any other order you place with them.

How do I know this page belongs to the right grad?

The best signal is where you got the link: grads share their page themselves — by text, group chat, or invitation. Check that the name, school, and photos match the person you know, and look for the verified badge, which means the page owner confirmed their email address. If anything feels off, ask the grad directly before gifting.

Does MyCongrads take a cut of gifts?

No. Gifts and cash go to the graduate at full value. MyCongrads makes money from optional page upgrades that grads choose to buy — not from gifts.
